Ingredients
Method
- Blend the cucumber. Blend the chopped cucumber with ½ cup cold water until completely smooth.
- Strain. Pour through a fine-mesh sieve or a piece of cheesecloth into a jug, pressing gently on the solids. Discard the pulp. You should have about 1 cup of green juice.
- Stir in the lime juice, your choice of sweetener, and the remaining ¾ cup cold water. Taste, and add more agave or lime as you like.
- Mix in the ora pro nobis. Add the 2 tsp of powder to the strained juice and mix until no specks are left. A handheld mixer is perfect here and takes about 10 seconds. A whisk works too. (Add it after straining, not before — the sieve will catch the powder.)
- Serve. Pour over tall glasses of ice and garnish with lime or cucumber. Stir before drinking if it has been sitting.

Notes
Ora pro nobis has mucilage, which is a fiber that turns gel-like in liquid. If you sprinkle it on top and do not stir well, it clumps.
Add the powder after you strain. If you put it in the blender with the cucumber, the strainer catches most of it.
It gets a little thicker as it sits. That's the fiber soaking up liquid, and it's totally normal. Just give it a stir before you pour.
